think you'll find that the 4.4 is best left well alone. EGR blanking will interfere with the engine settings/CPU and b*gger up your DPF regens (so I understand).

Yes, the posts about issues and best removed or blanked generally relate to the 3.6. As above, best left alone on the 4.4 as affects things more.

Yeah, they can still get gunged up. Not sure if there is a how to in the Wiki.

Not long ago I had a Quantum tuning remap including mapping out the EGR.

I'll make my own plate when I get around to it, having had a very mild remap with EGR delete some time ago.

Yes to add, in the spirit of transparency (if those read my other recent posts) I've had DPF full issues recently but they have been unrelated to EGR blanking and since resolved. So don't let that put you off.

Most people have no issues with the EGR valve on these engines and see no reason to disable it. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

4,4 EGR is quite eternal part, almost never fault. There is nothing to clean, it just black inside like exhaust pipe, and you dont clean exhaust pipe, right?

In the interest of providing a balanced set of replies here, you can indeed remove/blank the EGR system. You just won't find a kit to do it so need to make your own. 2mm steel plate is fine.

As it needs a remap to get it to run without EGR flow why go to the trouble to physically blank it as well? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

Pretty sure this has been covered before, but if mapped out it is to cover the possibility of a sticky valve surreptitiously leaking. Cam
