United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Zermatt Silver
Bonnet adjustment

I've just bought a 2012 Westminster and I noticed the bonnet doesn't quite sit fully shut. In short, it sits about 1/4 inch up at the front. It's properly closed and locked with no indications and otherwise fine so I presume it's just a matter of adjusting the springs where it locks into place but I don't know how to do that. Seemingly neither did the factory. Rolling Eyes

Any top tips please? 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

Thanks for those.

To me, it should be like the one at the bottom, which means the shutline is parallel with the top of the wing. It was like that on both my previous cars. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

the only slight problem i have had with mine is that i thought mine was closed properly but at 70mph i got a 'bonnet open' warning on the dash , so i stopped and pushed down on the bonnet and there was another click..
try yours and see if thats the case.. ... - .- -.

Tried that and it made no difference. I'll mention it to my specialist next time I go passed. 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster

It is worth checking that it is latching correctly.
I once had a 90"Land Rover bonnet lid blow open on me.
It was totally my fault. I got a puncture, so removed the spare from the bonnet lid and drove off without checking it was latched.
Pretty frightening at the time.!!

Mine sits high too, you can even push it down a little further on the springs, it’s totally latched but just too high 2012 L322 VOGUE SE TDV8 cream leather

You can adjust the bonnet using the who spring bolts underneath.

I recently had to do mine. They were quite gunked up and wouldn't adjust, so I removed them (only need to unscrew them out the bonnet hood), gave them a clean and re-oiled then, re-installed and adjusted as appropriate. All you need to do then is use a spanner to adjust them.

That got the bonnet sitting evenly on both corners and flush with the wings. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
