I’ve got some on the front of the Landy - they seem fine. Maltings are a decent supplier. |

Ive got drilled and grooved discs all round on my TDV8 4.4. They work well however they are a bit noisier than standard and (in my case ) you can feel them through the brake peddle.

I went for Brembo on the FF, but happy to go aftermarket on the defender. In my view, the decision to go OEMor pattern depends on things like what it’s for and how much the car is worth. I’ve got a CLK that I gave 4,000 for - when I did the brakes I opted against paying MB 450 for the privilege and put TRW discs on for around 110. My fatty however is under 90,000 and with a FSH so it’s worth spending a bit more on. |

Grooves and holes on disks are there for a specific purpose which is not required in normal road use and may infect result in inferior performance in an emergency stop road situation. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

I have got these on my l320 from maltings also, I did a google search of noisy terrafirma discs to see if anyone else had squealing brakes, Mine are paired with ebc yellowstuff pads and have done over 500 miles on newly refurbished 6 pot brembos, These alot of black dust on the discs, I think its the discs but not certain, What would everyone think is causing the horrendous squealing when braking? |

That sounds like marketing speak. Every disc that I’ve fitted to my Rangies has been machined (turned) on all surfaces so I can’t see that they’d be less balanced than genuine discs. Ron B.
