Gap IID - best place

Hi all

Can anyone tell me the best place/best price for an IID tool for my 2012 4.4TDV8? I see GAP-Diagnostics are listed as a forum sponsor but don't know if there's a discount to us, or a specific way to contact them as they don't have a subforum like Advanced/Duckworths.

Any advice welcome as I need to recalibrate my EAS Smile

They do have an online shop, but then you risk potential import duties - though may get away with it. You'll have already seen UK stockists. No sub-forum for tool sales, but I've always found Patrick very responsive to support questions of all types on their contact and indeed in the early days on here (tho no recent experience).

FWIW I'll be listing my IIDtool BT in a few days time once my G3 version arrives. I had the original and replaced with this BT version for the last two of my 322s, but it doesn't really work for MY17 on. I can still read quite a bit of stuff, incl fults, but there's lots missing. Price £300 posted and you'll also need to pay GAP £30 for change of ownership.

Thanks all

I've ordered one from BAS as it was the best price I could find for a UK supplier. I wanted to acquire the latest version as I work on a lot of other people's cars and the village I'm moving to has a number of late models which I'm hoping to pick up a bit of work on.

Thanks again

The GAP IID is locked to a single VIN number so only basic functions are available for other vehicles. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I'm aware of that - I will only need code reading capability. 2012 (L322) 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE, RSE, Fuji White over Arabica.

We used to call it 'basic functionality' but that was misleading as it is really provides full diagnostic capabilities. The only thing we have in the VIN-locked 'Advanced Programming' features that could actually be part of normal diagnostic capability is EAS electronic air suspension calibration - and with that the height alteration functions that are unique to the IIDTool.

For this reason we now call it "Full Diagnostic Functionality" and it is VIN-lock free and usable on all LR's we cover. And, at present, it is still better and more comprehensive than any other diagnostic system on the market. Cool
