I dont think its that simple as the cap is spinning, so needs to be chizzelled off first. |

my range rover came with no locking wheel nut key.

I've no doubt that a Gator socket would have no trouble removing a normal locking wheel nut, but mine was so tight that the locking wheel nut socket cracked, and then the nut cap started to slip with the actual threaded part of the nut refusing to budge.
