It’s a simple single piston on sliding pins but the piston and pins can seize and it’s not uncommon to have to replace them when you do the pads and disks. The EPB is a separate system inside the of the disk ‘bell’

I’ve just replaced my rear calipers with new TRW ones (OEM) from Advanced Factors (site sponsor discount) as old ones (original probably) were shot. Cheap enough not to warrant refurb. Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

Pads are the same as old school just like the shoes in the drum. 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB
