New Zealand 2016 Range Rover 5.0 SC V8 Fuji White

Hi, I have a single key but want to add another to my 2016 L405. I have bought a new KVM module from John Craddocks as my one is locked. I have both GAP IID and SDD tool but I am unable to configure the new module. I have went through the SDD "add a new module" but it fails immediately and wont allow me to even commence the process. Any recommendations? I am using SDD V165? Thanks!

Try PD Auto Locksmith, He’s Called Paul and is based in Yorkshire, worth the travel if he can fit you in. He did mine on a 2016, removed the KVM and re flashed it together with new key. He also removed the key that was lost in my case from the KVM, all has been good since. He charged me just over £200 but that was three years ago. Not sure how far he travels but he came out to Stockport to sort mine out. He also specialises in JLR.

Another vote for Paul at PD Auto Locksmith. I can't recommend him highly enough.

Just been over to Huddersfield this afternoon with a 2017 car that has had the security mod done. Patrick at GAP said as the KVM has been locked by JLR, the only option was to replace the KVM. JLR themselves ageed with this and were quoting £1500 for a new key (£71.97 for the cut blade, £222.36 for a new fob, £234.72 for a new KVM, £453.57 for a new BCM, £300 for programming, all plus VAT). Even a local auto locksmith was quoting a similar sort of figure.

Despite the hassle of removing the KVM (as the car is an Autobiography so has the extra aircon where you need to get a socket to remove it), Paul removed the KVM, programmed a new key to the KVM, plus cut a blade for the same sort of price diesel Dave was charged.
