You did start with the original kvm in place and then changed it out to the new one when prompted? L405 SV Autobiography LWB SDV8, finished in Aston Martin China Grey by ETO division. |

Another vote for Paul at PD Auto Locksmith. I can't recommend him highly enough. Just been over to Huddersfield this afternoon with a 2017 car that has had the security mod done. Patrick at GAP said as the KVM has been locked by JLR, the only option was to replace the KVM. JLR themselves ageed with this and were quoting £1500 for a new key (£71.97 for the cut blade, £222.36 for a new fob, £234.72 for a new KVM, £453.57 for a new BCM, £300 for programming, all plus VAT). Even a local auto locksmith was quoting a similar sort of figure. Despite the hassle of removing the KVM (as the car is an Autobiography so has the extra aircon where you need to get a socket to remove it), Paul removed the KVM, programmed a new key to the KVM, plus cut a blade for the same sort of price diesel Dave was charged.
