Top man, yes i do... it kind of came to me ths mornig that would be the only logical reason for coolant there, my intial thoughts was that there may have been some diesel warming system , hence why i posted , but then in teh light of day the penney dropped, im going to get under it tomorrow and investigate futher..

IIRC Replacing the pipes with genuine is a huge job, apparently a lot has to be removed to replace the original pipe, some have just used a rubber pipe and rerouted it to save all the dismantling... Pete

Thanks Pete, I suspect that would be the case, hopefully the diameter will be a size we use for AC hard lines,then I can do a repair section rather than replace, I will do a post if possible.
