Rear view camera

Is there any way of viewing the rear camera while going forwards
I often have a boot filled to the roof behind a dog guard and would nice to see behind.
It’s a 2012 so I don’t think the earlier secret menu works as the screen software looks different?
Thanks

It is possible to do via the ‘secret menu’.
On the Home Screen press the top middle of the screen for a few seconds then press and hold the hard nav button on the left for a few seconds. This should then allow you to see the hidden menu log in screen. Now enter 753 and select the appropriate menu on the right hand list (video inputs?) then select rear camera.
I’ve done this from memory - it’s easier when sitting in the car. Thumbs Up 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀

Thanks. But sadly it doesn’t come up with any video feeds. A choice of pal or Nstc but nothing else to show a picture without selecting reverse

Also is there a way of adding another camera as fitting it up in the hatch roof is a daft place for reversing up to something. Previously......

Maybe I sent you on a wild goose chase. It’s there somewhere but I need to be in my car to be precise. You obviously got into the menu so have a search around Thumbs Up 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀

i dont think there is a way of 'seeing' behind you when travelling other than having a separate screen and camera.
maybe a wifi feed from a rear dashcam on your phones? ... - .- -.

As Chris said it should work.

Mine is into the 753 menu.

Video input tests

Lefthand grey second down "button" rear camera

stays on while driving.

Sorry for the delay.
In the diagnostics menu choose video inputs test. On mine it says rear view/proximity camera. If you have this option, choose it and voila Thumbs Up 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀

What about a Venture cam? I have one and have managed to replace the battery. I have yet to try it in anger. Hoping to use it when towing to keep an eye on the trailer. '07 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8
