The fuel gauge isn't very accurate from my experience. There's more in the tank than you think. I've managed 103 litres in my old td6. |

According to the manual in my 2007 TDV8, 106 litres is the number. Seems about right since I squeezed 98 litres in on the biggest fill up ever (light was on) |

I never did get this. If the fuel pickup is at the bottom of the tank it's gonna get the dirt anyway. If it's not at the bottom then it couldn't get to the last X gallons. Urban myth methinks. |

You will still get air in the injection system and have to get it bled. Unless diesel systems have got more sophisticated. My TD6 gives a range of say 30km's, then suddenly drops down to 10, 5, 2 - ARRRGGGGHHHH where's the fuel station! Never got 100 litres in it though - maybe 98-9 if I remember. |
