European Road Trip

As the title suggests I am planning a road trip to Europe this April and would be grateful for any advice or guidance. It is a good few years since I have driven in the EU and no doubt many things have changed. I intend to start from Hull and cross over to Rotterdam then drive down to Genoa via Luxembourg then travel around Italy and Sicily. Thanks in advance.

I am a big fan of the ferry services from Hull.
You get up fresh in the morning ready to explore Europe.
Just double check your European breakdown cover is valid (vehicle age etc ) and enjoy the trip .

Look up the laws regarding tyres. Friend of mine told me that you have too have matching tyres all round and when applicable snow/at tyres

Sadly not in the FF as I sold it a while ago (profile now updated), likely to be an Italian Sports saloon. I have used the Hull ferry a few times in the past and yes the overnight is a good service for arriving ready for a long drive. Will look in to the tires all matching and investigate breakdown cover. Thanks to all.

Doh - of course - without looking at the car I'm easily confused Laughing

I just remember I had to buy new registration plates - and then for Spain, I needed a sticker as well Confused

Thanks for all the replies. My mobile phone provider is asking for £2 per day to use my UK plan in Europe. Any suggestions on a Sim only plan as my phone has Dual Sim system.?
