Pretty sure it needs to be from the 6 speed, however there's plenty of refurb units available inexpensively on ebay. Also, I'm pretty sure the 3.6 never had an 8 speed box, so think there's a mis-print anyway. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

The 6 speed has a gear level. The 8 speed has no gear lever and an electronic rotary dial. Easy way to confirm. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

Changed the torque converter last month on my 2008 3.6 (6 speed box) before it gave up all together and killed the box, got a recon one from BMWE39MAN on ebay. After speaking to Doug on the phone (his number is on the listing) there is only one torque converter for the 3.6 and he recommended changing the box input seal which he has on the shelf at the same time, did the valve block bridge seals while we were in there plus oil and filter of course and now no shudder and box changes gear fine. |
