Why? I thought there was a long warranty? just found this I know its a RRS 2019 but should apply to a FFRR https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/docume...c/G2422819 I would repost on L405 as some people might not have For Sale wanted thread enabled. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |

A PHEV is certainly off my shopping list From https://www.landrover.co.uk/electric/battery-technology.htmlHOW LONG DOES A PHEV BATTERY LAST? PHEV batteries are designed to last even longer than the life of your Land Rover. Unlike the much smaller version of a Lithium-ion battery found inside your laptop or mobile phone, a Land Rover PHEV battery uses specific technologies and techniques to optimise its performance for many years and many thousands of miles. This includes sophisticated liquid-cooling systems and a smart buffer that helps to protect the battery from the wearing effects of constant charging. Then they say OUR PHEV BATTERY PROMISE For your peace of mind, we guarantee the battery in your Land Rover PHEV for 6 years or 100,000 kms (60,000 miles) – whichever comes first. And while it’s under warranty, our EV experts will fix any material defects free of charge. In fact, the rare occurrence of a battery issue is generally caused by a single cell. The module containing this cell can easily be replaced to return the pack to its peak performance. So their warranty is for 6 Years or 60k miles and yet they say the battery will out last the car???? So they think their car will only last 6 Years They also say a cell can easily be replaced so maybe Haylands recommendation will work for you 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |

6yr/60k is quite disappointing for a premium brand

A cell can (relatively) easily be replaced - in the batteries in vehicles being sold now, older vehicles are not constructed to allow easy cell replacement.

Very Interesting insight Phoenix, is it usually faulty cells that forces a replacement? 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue |

My understanding is that 99% of the time the problems with the LR154747 batteries are NOT the cells themselves, but the electronic cards within.
