Saggy Rear End 3.6 TDV8 2007

Hi,

I have a sagging rear corner (RHS or drivers side, off side for those in the UK). Symptoms are;

- Only sags on one corner and the other three seems to stay where they are
- Takes several hours to become noticeable, overnight or so.
- Had a brief "suspension fault" error this morning after not using it for a few days whereby it was lower than normal perhaps, it cleared itself after turning the car off and trying again, raised the height to off road and then back down. The error has not reappeared yet.

The gut reaction would be to blame a leak, probably air bag, but I guess worth checking the valve block on that corner before assuming its the bag?

I assume I can rule out the level sensor or anything like that?

Also, within the UK what would be a decent "cheap/budget" recommendation for a replacement bag? Aerosus? Dunlop?

Words of wisdom most welcome.

If you can't find a leak at the airbag , it can back leak through the valve block ( rear one is in o/s/r wheel arch . Off the top of my head the blue pipe is the air feed....if you take that off and leaks out of valve block then block is faulty.

The odd thing though is it's supposed to try and keep car level even after you have switched it off , so I'm not sure why it would just drop one corner.

Another thing to try is parking it when suspension is level and pull the fuses. If it still drops it's an air leak , if it doesn't it's more likely a system fault.
