After watching "Raymies Garage" YouTube video about battery replacement and his battery monitor. I think that my battery is on the way out. I am driving to Italy in the mountains and don't want to get stuck.

Am I correct in my thinking?

Yes, I have a dashcam. It is connected to its own battery which charges when the car is running. I connected it to the fusebox by the second battery. In the time that I had the dashcam, I haven't had an issue with this.

I did think about this, but I did check the dashcam battery supplies the power to the cam and that it doesn't draw power when the car is off. SDV8 AB MY 2020

So this morning it was 0C. The boot wouldn't open and the low battery came on again. I now plan to take the wheel out and the side panel and go to a local garage to get them to test them for me. My tester we hopefully get just before Christmas.

Not sure if the main dealer test was good - surprised as they could have sold me new batteries.

I will report back later. If I was in the UK I would buy the batteries from Halfords with the 5yr warranty. As I am in Germany what batteries do people suggest? I know Craig said the JLR versions are what he uses. SDV8 AB MY 2020

Before I went to the garage I measured the voltage in 3 places. With the charge in place.

1. Under the bonnet:12.95v
2. Stop/Start battery: 13v
3. Main Battery: 12.3v

I thought that the jump points under the bonnet should charge both batteries. Do I need to charge the main battery directly?

The Main Dealer also broke the positive terminal cover, but no way to prove it. Does anyone know the part number for that? SDV8 AB MY 2020

I bought a Duracell which has a 4-year warranty, I also have a battery monitor fitted now,

When I saw the car for the first time I could not get the tailgate to work this was prior to purchasing, but the car did start.

I knew the car had been standing for most of its life 13k miles in 5/6 years so knew I would have to replace it sooner than later.

So I ordered the battery from the garage around the corner. "VARTA G14 Silver Dynamic" I should get it on Monday. So until I fit the new battery I will leave the spare wheel out of the car, with only local trips planned for the next few days. But happy to do now before the long Christmas trip.

The charger was connected directly to the main battery all night and I took a couple of 30+ minute drives today. The voltage today is reading 12.1v.

When I fit the battery I will add the Battery Monitor and a CTek cable (directly charge if needed). I will post a picture. SDV8 AB MY 2020

Hello
While waiting for the new battery I was getting a few things sorted and in place.

I just wonder if someone know the part number or what are the specs of the bolt are?
As it will make the connection nicer for Charger and monitor?

LR093837 is the part number for the terminal cover.

Many Thanks SDV8 AB MY 2020
