TD6 OBC calibration vs fuel consumption accuracy

Hello!

Today i get the real consumption of my 2003 fullfatRR from 2003.

The OBC says the consumption is 8.2 but the real consumption is 9.7!

Maybe it has any chip powerbox and gives bad l/100 consumption... could be the reason?

Or maybe needs some calibration?

i read we can do it in this OBC :
http://www.ideaphile.com/bmw/540-obc.html

i tried but i making something wrong... because i also tried to unlock the hidden menus and i also failed!

http://www.roverupgrades.com/Range_Rover_Hidden_menus.html

Is possible to calibrate the OBC even i have a chip powerbox (i don´t have idea if i have or not) but if i have the car is great because it has a great driving and great consumption!

I love to ear some opinions about this issue!

I really want to have my OBC working accurate! Confused

Thanks,

Hy Again,

Already made it! I try it again all the procedure in : http://www.roverupgrades.com/Range_Rover_Hidden_menus.html

and i unlocked the menus and changed the consumption coefficient in test N.20!

My real consumption was 9,7 and the OBC 8.1. I divides 9,7 for 8,1 and i get 1.2. I changed the KVBR: 1000 (original) to KVBR: 1200. Reseted the OBC consumption1 and now i will see in the next time i fill the tank if teh OBC values are accurate.

At the moment i already see an increase of consumption values with the same driving!

regards,

It's an old post but maybe the 2022 knowledge can help.

Is this recalibrating possible on a 2012 4.4 TDV8?

My shown fuel consumption is always 6-7% optimistic.

Yes, I reset mine from the original +7% to +5% but it could do with lowering a little further because when towing the van its still too optomistic by a fair margin.

It’s programmed to be 7% optimistic but it can be set to 0% in the CCF in the Gap IiD tool which brings in line with real mpg on mine. Also set your tyre size and rolling radius as well if you are running nonstandard size tyres as this will make a difference. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
