For me the 405 is better than the 322 in just about every way, it feels like a 322 that has been polished everywhere...

For me it is more comfortable than a 322, faster, smoother, more economical, quieter, etc etc....

Don't get me wrong I will always have a soft spot for the 322 but I'd never go back now, I've had it for just over two months and I'm still looking for excuses to go out in it.

I think the prices are a little elevated but life's too short and I didn't want to wait after this one with just the spec and colour, low mileage, FSH and a JLR warranty came up for sale.

I'd go and have a good drive in a few and see what you think as it does appear a lot still prefer the 322....  Pete

Fatty has just been sat on the drive for the last 40 days while we were in Spain...

No trickle charger or anything else attached...

Started first time and works spot on... had flat spots on the tyres but after 5 miles they were round again, just had a good drive and got the grin back....

Very pleased with that, I thought it would have a flat battery at the least...

Wifes car was fine as well but you expect that as it says Lexus on the boot...!!

Gearbox and diff oils changed today, all the old stuff looked used but as you would expect after 60,000 odd miles..

Seems to drive that little bit smoother....  Pete

ooo its so tempting, I would need a 2016 diesel car I think, what year did they go Euro 6 and by adding some AdBlue they become ULEZ charge exempt ??

I think it was late 2015 that they went to Euro 6, so yeah MY2016 should be OK...  Pete

I've just been reading through this thread.... it's nice to hear your enjoying the 405 over the 332. There's a lot of manufactures who release the next generation and they don't necessarily drive any better or more refined, just add my spec and call it done.

Fatty went in for it's last few items that were highlighted just before the JLR warranty expired.

One new rear shock, new drivers door handle as the old one had got heat sensitive and wouldn't lock the doors from the handle in cold weather..!! Also the suspension pump was not operating as it should.

When they changed the rear shock they found some stowaways, or at least evidence of them...

They aren't cheap Stan but after having had several from different sources to fit different cars over the years I appreciate the fully fitted AND setup correctly which you get with these, they have tweaked the software to make then work as seamlessly as they can, any issues and they are on the end of a phone rather than trying to explain an issue to someone sat in China who doesn't speak English...

Not the cheapest but good value IMHO...

If I can get a nice discount for the forum then even better...  Pete
