Don’t know what else has changed, but that seems to be the current most secure form of keyless. |

I’m really not sure, I enquired, and the new key doesn’t emit a signal to start the process . Apprantly the initiation is from the car, thus (somehow) stopping the relay from the kitchen table via another computer device….

UWB stops the key signal being “boosted” because it’s constantly measuring how close the key is to the car and won’t allow it to be started unless it’s inside. |
