Well the weather has decided to change and it’s raining yet again . A couple of points to note that I didn’t do and should have done - should not have used a sharpie for the style line should have used a pencil as the sharpies can bleed through ! Ask me how I know !!

For the rubber seal around the qtr panel window I used a bit of cat 5 cable I had lying around in the garage to slip it up out of the way otherwise from what I can see it’s a window out job.

Hi, hope you don't mind a bit of constructive criticism but this bit needs some more work, the line is not straight on the top edge of the swage and the bottom looks to be a bit flat and needs some more filler work to get it back..

Excellent job with no previous though... Thumbs Up Pete

I’d be more Censored off if you saw it and didn’t say something !!! I had actually already rubbed it down as it was a bit of filler that got stuck , still not finished prepping Weather has been a challenge !!

Thanks so much for your eagle eye , I never bothered eyeing up that swage line as it was not part of the Damaged area … but obviously with the deflection of the panel knocked it out of kilter. Would have shown up immediately in the sun after clear Bow down Thumbs Up

I’ve ordered myself 3m pps kit & clear base. Will hold off doing anything till that’s comes , tbh I probably have a weeks worth of vacuuming to do on the inside as I had left tailgate open while sanding Laughing

It also looks as if the line in blue has got flattened off just above where I have marked in yellow... run a straight edge over the panel, up and down, and I think you will see where it is flatter towards the back.. Thumbs Up

You can check what it will look like by making the panel wet, you will get a few seconds to see the gloss across the panel before the surface tension breaks up the water film... Pete

Spot on buddy will get a straight edge on it tomorrow and knock down the high spots and fill in the low spots , my attention was focused on the panel being flat and around shaped correctly around the wheel … everything below that swage I made sure was perfect Embarassed

I’m delighted it rained and I didn’t go any further !!!

Thanks so much dude… would have been huge waste of materials and time to find this out later !!! it would bug the Censored out of me !!!

I’m happy to live with dust nibs etc but anything blatant & obviously avoidable- I can’t live with !!!

If not already, trial fit the rear light unit which should follow the profile of the wing where they meet, if the wings slightly out, it should be obvious Thumbs Up

No Snazzy profile tools !! Eyeballs and trial and error fitting light etc

I’ve actually got loads more work to do I thought I had it all done but the light housing area needs a ton of work as the light isn’t fitting correctly!! Like it fits but it’s not how I want it !!!

Yup am stuck in work for the next couple of days so won’t get a chance to get it sorted , almost there though , I’ve rubbed Down the rest of the panels so I literally just need to fettle the shape for the light and I’m ready to paint !

So ended up realising that the weather isn’t going to work with me and the car doesn’t fit in the shed so had to improvise….

I’ve managed to paint it and all the damage has be resolved and looks fantastic!!!

Now there’s a few bits I need to sort… I blew through a couple of edges when I was rubbing down my blend area Rolling with laughter

It’s funny because my blend area was the back doors….

So my new blend area will be front doors … well now I’m at the stage of wondering should I just do the wings and bonnet Rolling Eyes Laughing
