I've jacked up the complete rear of mine using the towbar with no issues.... |

I'm with dingg1, used it several times to jack the back up and it doesn't deflect 1mm.... |

Recommended nose weight has little to do with the inherent strength of the tow bar itself.

Pretty sure the workshop manual says the crossbar of the tow bar or the chassis rail between the exhausts can be used. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8 |

If you do use a trolley jack on that point be careful of the jacks arm swing, as it comes up the jacking pad moves backwards and the jack may fall off before the wheels are off the ground....

I'd only jack on a single point with a very large 'garage' jack - the ones you have to drag and are too heavy to lift and have a wide set of feet to cope with any lateral movement. As said 2 jacks either side is far safer. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
