Morning all I think I was nabbed by one of these speed trap cars it was a peugeot 508 I think black and the tell tale signs were it suddenly latched on to me and varied speed as I did and there were two pale blue leds in front grill when I slowed to 120 it sat for a minute then was off mind you on the bright side Calais to Sainte Foy La Grande in just over 7 and a half hours is good going for the old girl at 220k plus and petrol is cheaper here |

I wouldn't worry about getting a speeding ticket through the post sandy. The French no longer have access to the dvla database so they can't find you. I get flashed by at least 4 cameras a day in France when I'm there and also in Germany, i don't hear a thing. |

There may not be data sharing, I don’t know, but there is nothing to stop the French blacklisting the reg and then pursing the cash when you are in their country next time. Or the new owner is! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso |

Until you pop up on their database when you eventually get physically stopped, get presented with a list of outstanding tickets & begin the long walk home because they have impounded your car ! |

Friendly yes, nice ...mmm. These "anonimous " radar cars are now everywhere, the only thing you can recognize them by is the fact that round their numberplate you wont find a dealers name. Dealers are affraid for "revenge" by the people.

Just back from another trip and was stopped at the peage that will be 90 euros sir - they had a radar set up further down the road the Gendarmes were in good form and I asked them about outstanding tickets and he confirmed that they are held for minimum 6 months on the system - not sure if that is true or not but something to think about |
