help with suspension fault

Hi, I have a 2003 range rover TD6

recently i noticed a weird issue; have been driving , and the suspension doesnt seem to work. now, weirdly, i dont get any error messages.

choosing to lower/higher the car; nothing happens (the corresponding LED blinks as it should, ) but nothing actually happens.
car does not change height, neither up or down.

i have not driven the car for a week or so, and the rear is very low to the floor, the front is still quite high.

I looked at the fuses i suspected; they all look fine. I tried jumping the relay in the boot, and didnt seem to work; but im not certain if i did it correctly.

next I will empty the boot (easier said than done; as ive just emptied an entire car's worth of tools in there (typical, right?))

and see if i can hear the compressor coming on at all - i suspect that I wont, but advice would be appreciated; as im fairly new to RR ownership.

edit: forgot to mention (the day (i think?) the problem started) i had used this car to jump my other car. I wondered if this caused some weird electrical issue, this is why i was initially looking at the fuses/relays.

Best to get the fault codes read, just guessing and changing things can cost a fortune...!! Pete

so i had a little free time this morning, shifted all my tools/ junk to another vehicle. and hey, he decided to work.

so my theory is , i know the previous owner installed a "new" compressor, but I dont believe it's genuine.

whether that means its a bit under-powered? or what? i dont know. it's also strange, everything works perfectly. it's just slow, it goes up, down, levels, no errors, no warning lights. and the added weight seems to have just been too much for it?

it took quite many days of the tools being in there to get low enough for me to notice, which i assume is a fairly good sign.

I have a generic ODB2 code scanner, which i could take a look with, see if i can find anything, will report back.

regards
