Does the clock work? if so, clear the DTC and investigate if the clock ceases to work or the DTC comes back. This relates to the analogue clock, not the actual timekeeping in the BCM/GEM.

Yep I have tried to clear but the DTC remains

Analogue clock appears to keep great time and also when I initially set the correct time the analogue clock adjusted itself as expected 2009 - L322 5.0 S/C Autobiography

So "Clock Module" is just the analogue clock ?

If so I can live with that as my only DTC

Plus it tells the correct time - so best left alone !

Yep, that's it. You could try a battery disconnect but the chances are that'd create more DTC's.
You could try pulling the plug on the analogue clock for a few minutes, it might help, but TBH, it's not something to worry about.
The clock has a data line from the instrument cluster (IPK) which supplies the current time, which is set on the IHU. The IPK is responsible for maintaining the 'master clock' the analogue clock is just a display, slaved off the IPK via an I-BUS connection shared with a few other modules.

Tell me does the analogue clock keep time with the digital time on the headunit? If so what happens if you up-grade the headunit to aftermarket etc
I have noticed that the analogue clock in my RR quite often at any time of the day at start up returns to 12 bells. Is there a reason for this?

The IHU is used to input the time into the IPK - its the IPK that is the time master, without any correction from the IHU, it'll just keep ticking along. I've had the analogue clock re-sync a few times, never really looked into it but I suspect it's related to voltage drop during cranking causing the I-BUS (single wire, pretty much like LIN) to drop out or possibly the IPK forces a re-sync if it detects dropped comms.

TBH, it's not high on my to-check list given I'd have to capture & decode the frames along with monitor the voltage at a couple of points once I can reproduce the concern. For the moment, I'm happy with 'fold on lock' mirrors and 'unlock on key off', both of which turned out to be possible with pretty simple hardware additions.

Have tried many different scan/code readers for my "Day Job" and the Launch for me is the best for what I need it to do

I have been a self-employed mechanic for close on 20 years and it is impossible to do day to day jobs without a suitable scan tool 2009 - L322 5.0 S/C Autobiography

Well according to posts on here it is the analogue clock on the centre console

As mine is keeping correct time and alters time setting if required then I not going to do anything about it

I will be living with the code as it not causing any issues 2009 - L322 5.0 S/C Autobiography
