I have searched the Wiki and threads etc and have a deployable steps question

My previous L322 had Deploy Steps

My 5.0 S/C does not have steps but does have the roof switch

My question is

Do any L322 have switch and wiring pre-fit or could my 5.0 have previously been fitted with Deploy Steps ?

I will take off the steps from my bost L322 and use them again and be a great bonus if the wiring is already there

How you finding it? Is the drive good? Do you get 20mpg ever ? Does the 2009 have flappy paddles?

They drive like any other fatty, just a fair bit faster, we did 5,000 miles to Spain and back and it did 20mpg sitting at maximum allowable speed, 70-80mph, usually got 15+ in normal day to day driving...

Yes it has flappy paddles but the gearbox was always better than me in deciding which gear to be in so never used them...  Pete

I do not keep an eye any longer on miles left in tank or MPG
I simply run till tank reads half and then fill it back up

If you haven't got a GAP tool (and don't plan to get one), get someone with a licence or full diagnostics to turn on your "angel eyes" daylight running lamps like I have on mine. BooHoo had to spend some money today !

Drivers front linkage assembly for the deployable steps I have "borrowed" off my TDV8 was totally seized and cracked

New frame/linkage LR004810 ordered and motor assembly removed ready to be installed in new linkage

Ah well at least thats the first and only spend in a month of 5.0 S/C ownership !

Into 3rd month of ownership and 1st fault hit today !

ALTERNATOR

Battery light goes on and off as expected but voltage when running only showing as 12.6-12.8v

So enough "charge" to keep light off but not enough to actually charge battery and run vehicle

Thankfully not getting bad prices for either a recon or new unit 2009 - L322 5.0 S/C Autobiography

Pretty sure it has a smart alternator that puts out what the battery needs, not necessarily full power...
