Buy a spray can of cavity wax with a probe extension, park the fatty on a slight side slope, open the tailgate, put rags below the drain holes, squirt wax into the holes on the high side until it comes out of the drain holes further down, repeat until you have made a nice mess... Then open the lower tailgate, shut the top tailgate and repeat the process, this makes sure as much inside is covered as possible... Then turn the fatty round and do it again...

If you are going to keep it, do the rear arches and rear sill area as a minimum... Thumbs Up Pete

Indeed, I did try to impress on the body shop folk the need to do just this. Would have been handy to get it done prior to refitting all the interior trim etc.

Oh well.

Thanks for the thought anyway.
Looks like I'm going to be getting sticky.... 2011 L322 TDV8 A/b Orkney Grey

I favour this one, it's clear (ish) and cleans up easily...

Loads of others out there though...

Yes, that's the one I was thinking of.
Has the advantage of semi-curing in that it won't start to migrate and drip from drain holes when the weather warms up.

But on the down-side you do need to be a little careful in application. Overdo it and it can start to congeal in the drain holes, potentially obstructing them. 2011 L322 TDV8 A/b Orkney Grey
