Hi,

I'm trying to get two blades cut from my existing key so I have 2 spare keys. It's not going well.... I've tried -

Timpsons in Stevenage - Will only cut their own keys. When pressed for why they said it was company policy to use their own keys due to quality issues (fair enough) ... but they use cheap Chinese ones (I looked at one - awful) and I have Genuine LR ones (not as awful..) ...go figure that out .. they wouldn't budge

Chap in the indoor market wont do them as they are 'too hard'

Locksmiths in Knebworth 'We're ever so sorry but we only cut our own keys and as we cant provide you with a key we wouldn't be able to do this for you.'

I've worked out I can program the new keys with my IID tool (well, 95% certain as I can be) as I've done it before and I don't want to visit the dealer and well, hand over my first born. Plus I like a challenge.

Does anyone know a locksmith who will cut two blades, supplied by me in the Stevenage Area ?

Not been there for a while but on HITCHIN market (Saturday) a chap used to park his van at the top of the market near the main road and he cut all types of car keys according to the signage on the side of his van.
