TD6 EGR cooler

Hi,

My EGR cooler has developed a slight coolant leak. (2005 TD6)

My dilemma is do I replace it or do away with it and
bypass it??

How hard would it be to bypass it and what would be
the advantages and disadvantages?

The rangerover is a weekend car so doesn't do mega miles
and it doesn't do any towing. It's currently running without the viscous
fan aswell.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Plenty of owners have removed the whole EGR cooler and got rid of the EGR too. There are a few who have even got rid of the engine fan as well. You just need a couple of caps for the coolant pipes and the exhaust blank.
These engines run very cool. 2007 TDV8 VSE
