I'm sorry if this has already been covered, but the coolant level in my L322 is below both of the "Cold Fill" lines, so I'm guessing it needs topping up.

The colour of what's already there is Pink, I did read that you shouldn't mix different types. |

Thanks Oggy - Is it OK to mix with the pink though - I did read that mixing colours could lead to a gel like substance developing in the tank |

well i have seen that stated on the site about mixing . i think what i would do is bite the bullet and drop all old out because do you know when it was last changed . i expect it could do with a change any way and buy 8 ltrs of the write stuff as we have spoke about the havoline xlc i think it is 14 ltrs so half that 7 ltrs and one to keep for top up so get 8 check hand book for total coolant when drained could be less new vehicle purchase

For what it's going to cost Oggy, I think that's probably good advice....... I'll look to empty and replenish with the right stuff after my trip later this week. |

It's 50/50 pink/red stuff with de-ionised water.

Yes change it would be optimum... Should be changed every two years or so... Environmental laws mean its made to degrade VERY quickly now (in case it spills into a watercourse in an accident)...
