2012 TDV8 suspension issue

Hi guys, looks like I broke my L322 Big Cry

I had an enthusiastic drive to Norwich having way too much fun, but now my drivers side front is about an inch lower than it should be and the suspension is making a slight noise when the suspension compresses over even slight bumps. Its kind of a light scratchy/scraping/squeaking noise.

Unfortunately as its my only car I can't take my time with it and its booked into my trusty local garage this Thursday.

I've got my fingers crossed that its a ball joint , or bushing of some kind that's collapsed, rather than a damaged CVD (mainly as I think my L322 has started riding firmer like some others, but I actually prefer it that way).

There are loads of suspension posts, with clonks, groans and creaks, but I cant find many with scratchy, scrape, let alone with a drop.

Does any of this sound familiar to any one else? Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!

Best price for Gap IID?

It turned it it wasn't terminal to my safety, or wallet (right now), the lower ball joint was dry. The garage says they lubricated it for now, but if it happens again its time for replacement.

They couldn't adjust the suspension height though, so I just bit the bullet and bought a Gap IID. Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!
