Well this Weekends task is a Full Engine Service on my 4.4 TDV8.
So it,s Oil change, Oil, Air, Desiel and Pollen Filters and whilst I’m in there I’m going looking for the slight Oil Leak that’s just shown itself at the Back of the Engine.
Up to now Oil removed with Suction Pump (what a great way of doing it 😎😎😎), reckon I got 9.5 Ltrs out 👍, Doughnut and Throttle Body removed and all the Top end stripped down.
On inspection I found the Turbo Oil Line to be the offending culprit, so the O Rings have been changed for Viton ones.
I have Oil Cooler Gaskets but it’s bone dry and there’s nothing in the ‘V’ so I’m leaving well alone as it’s not showing any signs of leaking.
Started to rebuild now after clearing the gunk out of the Air Intakes but waiting to see if the New Silicon Hoses turn up in the Morning before completing the Job.
Air Filters changed and checked the Air Flow Sensor but they are clean so nothing to do there.
So tomorrow is clean out the Throttle Body but it’s not bad really, change the Fuel Filter and Pollen Filter and put everything back together with Fresh Oil 👍👍
Very please with my progress so far, not as daunting a Job as I 1st thought.
