hi, i have had a few apart and came across this before, there is a small spring loaded clip that locks into place, the first one was the spring and the second one was the clip but we got away with super glue, its a bit of a fiddley job as you will need to dismantle the whole unit. just look or draw what way the springs go Exclamation or you will have a nightmare... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

On the venture cam front, is it easy to retrofit the charging cradle?
Oh and the next question, if the answer is yes, would be is there anywhere to get them apart from the stealers?

The same happened to mine, fell down and never stayed up again. Dealer wanted over £300 to fit a new one but after a bit of shouting I got it done under approved warranty. Current MY2020

I have just changed computers so no longer have Microcat. Can anybody look up the charging cradle part number on a 2006 Vogue SE Supercharged please?

Online Microcat doesn't show the supersession information though, does it?

Thanks Scary problem is that part is £200 and another £200 ish to remove the dash to fix it in and who knows what problems that may cause....

SOLUTION:

If you add three "pairs" of these micro velcro pads to the back of the holder (not cam) with both backing off but velcro fused then push the cradle back into place and hold for a few seconds you get a perfect fix. Cradle clicks back and stays in place and when you pull down the velcro bond breaks and down it comes.

Venture Cam charges perfectly as the pads are very thin and the gap already there is is the same width as the pads. £1.79 against £400-500.....Phew..... Thumbs Up (Homebase)
