The fault happened after you cleaned up the front and removed the pipes? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

ok, so ive checked all the pipes, and i cant see any issues there, so im guessing the actuator is actually stuck.

My experience with turbo actuators on other cars is that the rod from the pressure capsule moves but it can be very stiff as depending on what 'cracking' pressure it's rated at it may have a very stiff spring. Normally you would test by removing the pressure feed and attaching an airline and pressure gauge and seeing at what pressure it opens and also checking for any air leaks. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

The actuating chamber is vacuum operated so the shaft moves into the chamber rather than away, as would be the case with a pressure chamber. |

My Indy took mine off & cleaned it all up, so I’m assuming it’s not a difficult task to do as he didn’t charge me for it! 2012 Orkney Grey Westminster 4.4TDV8 with Ivory interior.........nice!

If the actuators are driven from the vacuum unit and not from turbo charger boost then the solenoid may not be where the actuator is. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |
