Restricted Performance but no engine codes

So, I seem to get the restricted performance message upon a cold start, my IID tool is picking up the following:

L405 - Range Rover 2013
Vehicle scanned on 15-02-2022 12:49
Using IIDTool BT V4.0 B2742

ATCM-Terrain Response

U3003-62 (2F) Battery voltage - Algorithm based failure - signal compare failure
( on 15-02-2022 12:49:03 at 75109 mi )

GWM-Gateway module

B13D6-87 (2F) Battery monitoring module - B - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message
( on 09-02-2022 10:29:45 at 75103 mi )
B1403-96 (2Cool Dual battery fuse box - Contactor 2 - Component failure - internal failure
( on 09-02-2022 10:30:22 at 75103 mi )

None of which should cause the restricted performance message.

If I clear the codes the message will go from the dash and a rescan generally returns just this pair of errors:

L405 - Range Rover 2013
Vehicle scanned on 15-02-2022 12:51
Using IIDTool BT V4.0 B2742

ATCM-Terrain Response

U3003-62 (2F) Battery voltage - Algorithm based failure - signal compare failure
( on 15-02-2022 12:51:21 at 75109 mi )

GWM-Gateway module

B13D6-87 (2F) Battery monitoring module - B - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message
( on 15-02-2022 12:51:23 at 75109 mi )

Both of which appear to be fairly harmless.

Now, if I enable all bit status flags and rescan whilst the restricted performance message is on the dash I get a whole load of tests that have not yet completed, along with this failed test:

PCM-Engine TDV8

P2031-00 (27) Exhaust gas temperature sensor circuit - bank 1, sensor 2
( on 15-02-2022 14:36:27 at 75111 mi )
- Test Failed
- Test Failed This Monitoring Cycle
- Pending
- Test Failed Since Last Clear

So, potentially a faulty EGT sensor...Can anyone confirm the location of the Bank 1 post CAT/DPF EGT sensor or even the part number?

Also, any idea why the IID tool isnt picking this up out of the box?

Cheers,

Pending faults are stored until the fault reoccurs a few times and then becomes a permanent fault. It look like a possible EGR issue that you have. But needs further investigation. L322 2007 TDV8 3.6

Thanks for confirming.

When you say EGR do you mean EGT? 2013 FFRR Vogue SE

Hi Martyn,

The code indicates that you could have a problem with the reading form the EGT, however this could be caused by a fault elswhere that is causing this...DPF and EGR faults can both cause issues I believe.

If you remove the EGT and clean it that would certainly be somwhere to start. L322 2007 TDV8 3.6
