You won't regret it. Have him do the transfer box too. Full house!

You could also consider what the manufacturer of the gearbox recommends which is a not to flush but simply a drain of the fluid and filter change. It gets enough of the fluid out to extend the life of the gearbox and you may get it done sooner. Ditto get the transfer box and diff's done at the same time. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Bodsy did my megaflush, diffs and transfer box fluids today on my 2012 L322 with 52k miles, luckily the weather was quite pleasant in Norfolk today.

The transmission fluid was well used, the rear diff was clean and most likely been changed before, but the front diff was less clean and had some small metal particles. Do I need to be unduly concerned about that?

I only had a couple of codes for drivers door central locking, but perhaps that's related to a couple of cases where it couldn't lock as I hadn't shut it properly.

As for how it drives, well its definitely smoother and it gives me piece of mind. I was also happy to see no oil on the underbody panels, so doesn't look like I'm due for oil cooler woes for awhile (i hope). It was nice and dry underneath, with just some surface corrosion.

Ian himself was professional and polite as I've read everywhere else, he certainly put up with my wittering about past cars Laughing , but I did leave him to get on with it for the most part.

Bodsy gets a thumbs up from me. Encourage alternative fuels, use all the petrol!

How can I get in touch with Bodsy? I have a 2012 L322 and would like the diffs gearbox and transfer box all doing. Does he travel to Lancashire? Iā€™m not sure where he is based?

The Great Bodsy

I had my 08 Vogue TDV8 3.6 given the full Bodsy treament in January.
That included
Gearbox flush and reset
Remove EGRs. fit cover plates and amend electronics so no fault lights showing
Drain and Refill both Diffs
Stage 1 Tune giving 40 more bhp and near 100 ft/ibs torque
Reset engine electrics to latest Range Rover specification

and he wouldnt even accept tea or coffee when working until late in afternoon with head-light
Car drives even better now.

Does anybody know where I can get under car cleaned and protected in Hampshire area please ?

I change the gearbox every 30k with new filter etc and even having done that when Bodsy did mine the oil was not great they started saying that the gearboxes were sealed for life and keep on changing the recommendations - mine drives like new now it has settled down after the mega flush and it is on nearly 220k

How was the oil 'not great' - did you have it tested? AFAIK ZF have not said their gearboxes are sealed for life and this was only JLR. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

ZF state the service interval is every 50-75k miles or 7 years

Sooner, if you do regular off roading, towing or high speed driving Thumbs Up

So, what's the ball-park cost of a megaflush?
