Both V6 Diesel engines potentially a risk??

Hi,
I was jus wondering if both v6 diesels in 258hp and 275hp are susceptible to the crank issues and did at any point IE after the 2018 facelift did they cure the potential issues??
Thanks

As far as I’m aware there was never an “official issue” so no fix in place on the later cars. That said its a lottery as some go on to live long lives while others fail early.
IMHO the SDV8 is a much more robust engine that does not suffer catastrophic failure and will return high mileage, if serviced correctly of course.

If you want a 2018 one, your budget will have to be significantly higher than a 3.0 diesel in a 2013 to 2017 MY and the newer you get the higher the price...

Some light reading for you if not read already… the TDv6 is a fine car 👍🏻
