Rumble noise at 30MPH deceleration and turning right!!

Hi guys any help would be appreciated got this annoying rumble droning noise as soon as I hit 30MPH more noticeable when slowing down and tuning right. Makes noise in neutral also and also no difference when I brake on and off noise still constant. There is no vibration or cattle gridding along with the noise so I'm certain its not TC related or a gearbox issue obviously I would still get the rumble if I turned left and right no just in one direction like I get if it was TC or gearbox related.
Cheers

Had a similar background droning noise last year on my 06 Vogue Td6, tracked it down to the right front wheel bearing.

Turning to the right or driving straight produced the noise. Noise was more prevalent on long faster bends. A detailed examination of the car revealed no other fault indications whatsoever, so as an engineer I went with gut instinct and intuition / experience. Changing the right front wheel bearing fixed it.

My diagnosis was based on the preface that when turning left, the R/H bearing 'loaded up' hence closed up, and when turning left, the wear / now clearance in the bearing produced the droning noise.

Did the job at home, without a hydraulic press, but it was not easy that way. Banging Head Big Cry I will change the other bearing as well, as experience has taught me that if one failed, the other could well be on it's way.

Even with the old and new bearings in my hands, it was difficult to ascertain if the old bearing was failing, there was barely any discernible difference to the 'feel' of both bearings.

Not a guaranteed diagnosis obviously, but hope this helps.

Thanks for this I was thinking maybe a possible wheel bearing but with regards to 22" wheels I have had these on for last 5 years now and had no issues to be fair. Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 SVO Stying Pack

Nice one Stan, silly me didn't spot the big wheels fitted Embarassed
With that info, I would check the wheels / tyres first. Now off to the opticians for new glasses Whistle

All tyres are good to be fair plenty of tread no wear on sides or inner edges etc... and alloys have been on for last 5 years with no issues. I will deffo look into the wheel bearing next week fingers crossed this eliminates the rumble!..... Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 SDV8 SVO Stying Pack
