Is it just me or does the pre-heat just not really work well

I find its pretty poor to heat the car over winter using the remote heat and I also find the auto heat just doesnt warm up much and have to put the car on full blowers at 28 and speed 7 to heat the bleeding thing up.....any advise on what to change and how to change the pre-heat to use full blowers cos Ive got no idea how to change this and searched manuals and the computer system!!

I miss the air heated seats too I think from the SE as I think the regular seats just dont heat up from cold that well....

Only thing thats been difficult not to like so far..... all smug in my new plug!

Do you have the FBH as an option or is it just remote start? The engine will take an age to warm up with remote start, with the FBH it much quicker, 10-15 mins before you leave the house depending on how cold it is. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Obv mines petrol, but I find the remote FBH warm up is great. No extraordinary heating required.

And heated seat on #1 warms up quick (less than 5 mins use normally) and anything above this is sadism.

So… either you are extra sensitive or something is duff with the Westminster! L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

We have this problem too and I even asked the dealer to check the system. There was a HEVAC software update that improved the things a little but, compared to the previous L322, it certainly is a step down.

We also own an I-Pace, which has basically the same system and I know the cabin is smaller, but the fan spins much faster on auto (on balanced setting) and therefore no adjustment is required to heat the interior when entering... Also, the seat heating is much more powerful, I know the seats are a different size, but the fans seem to turn on higher speeds there too... Is it a deliberate decision for cabin quietness, I wonder, because, if you put the climate on fast & powerful in the Range Rover, it is greatly improved, but of course with higher noise...

So, besides setting (in the climate menu) the blower to high and checking if the pollen filter is clean, there is really not much else you can do...

The FBH on our MY16 4.4 does the trick nicely, equally as good as the old L322 I would probably say.

Didn’t it change to remote start at some point in the App rather than FBH? Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Yes, if you use the app to heat rather than the remote or set the depart time in the car, then it remote starts the engine rather than uses the FBH. MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

There is no FBH in the P400e... Only electric preheat while connected to charging... At least not in ours and it wasn't an option either...

MY14 No major issues here - FBH works really well and seat heating is rapid.

Sometimes the remote needs a few presses. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

Feels like a backwards step to me that, we always start the FBH with the App. I wonder why they changed it? Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thats really assuring I'm not alone.....disappointing isnt it.....my old VSE was roasting on heating but had no pre-heat but the Evoque seemed to be much better but again smaller cabin.....

Is it not the case that with the higher Euro emissions etc it means that the newer cars dont exhaust by the wheel arch anymore.
They may need to have Engine running and exhaust into EGR system?
Its something I haven't really looked into on mine as its been such a mild Winter in Norfolk, only had 3 occasions where I have witnessed mild frost lol, forgot what snow looks like Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Compared to my L322, the FBH on my current FF is pitiful.

Ran on "timed climate" for 30 mins ... windows still frozen. Inside not cold but far from toasty. What do I put here then?

Even with the worst frost, ours is usually clear in 5-10 minutes via the FBH remote started via the App so that doesnt sound right at all Question Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
