Does the CD player not display the list of tracks on a CD? Does it show CD text?

Mine just has 6 buttons for each CD and even if I press the button for the CD I'm listening to, I don't get any track listing.

CD Text was never popular and about two decade too late to be introduced. Many cars got around it by including the Gracenote database but of course if you like newer and not so popular music it was a pointless out of date method.

But hey the cars only barely show one line of iPod information. Whoever the Ui/UX designers were of that system should be ashamed of themselves.

I would give up on all that old tech and definitely not have expectations of the new tech. The only thing that can give a modern experience is to install something like naviplus. That brings it right bang up-to-date with wireless CarPlay integrated.

It won’t do that, though will show track names when playing from USB.

I suppose it does when inserting a CD with MP3 as is supported by the CD changer. Not for ordinary music CDs though.
