If I get a BMW ULF Bluetooth Module.....

......what else do I need to get Bluetooth handsfree in my RR ?

Its a 2003 Vogue, without a Telephone option in the main menu......

A search on here seems to show I may need an adapter, or to rewire the plug before I attached.....

Where is the pairing button ?

Am I just wanting something thats not really feasible ?

Thanks

Hi all,

I have read that you can't just plug the ULF module into the Range Rover wiring, even though it'll fit........

Where can I get an adapter, or does anyone know what the pin outs are ? / Should be ?

Will I need anything else for Bluetooth ?

Should there be a "pairing button" ?

Thanks for your help.

Thats how I found out that you couldn't just plug it in, but I didn't seem to find exactly what you had to do.

I shall have another search.

It appears I also may need a microphone, BT antenna and the pairing button then.

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic1987.h...+bluetooth

I take it they all have to be BMW items, due to the connectors ?

Thanks

Your PN doesn't correspond exactly to any here - typo? I assume it's a first gen unit. Won't be good for much - just try it and see what works and what doesn't tho.

The parts you need are all BMW except for the pairing button: you can either install a cradle or just use a push switch. If you search this forum under cradle+pairing, you should find a very detailed discussion on what's needed there.

Get the 2nd gen microphone.

If you don't have the loom in the car, there is a BMW retrofit loom.

Look up L322.com on the internet wayback machine and then go to 'phone kits'. There is a pinout chart on what you need.
RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr,
P38, and 2 L322s
(wife thinks I'm nuts - prob right, too)

Many thanks.

When I was bidding on the module, I did look at your part numbers and must have had a senior moment, as I thought it may be 6th gen.

Who knows what I've bought then !!

Thanks
