You need to lubricate the mechanism and make sure the manual backup black plastic levers move freely. Had this on my TD6. You can see in the manual where they are…. On each side. Should be fine after that.

Actually forget next weekend. Went out with a little torch and sure enough the manual release catches were sticky

No worries. Keep moving the plastic bits till they are fairly free.
