Hi guys wondering if anyone has had the issue of the lower rear tailgate not closing
When I open mine it’s not a problem and it seems like the motors or actuators are working
But when I come to close it, it refuses to catch with the pegs that hold it shut
It works in the end after about 5 or 6 attempts. Just wondering what the first step would be
2011 vogue although I think it would be the same overall

You need to lubricate the mechanism and make sure the manual backup black plastic levers move freely. Had this on my TD6. You can see in the manual where they are…. On each side. Should be fine after that.

Tried wd40 on the catches on the tailgate but not helped much
I need to go and look at the manual release sorry I didn’t even know it had any
Unfortunately it’s going dark now so will need to wait until next weekend 2016 4.4 diesel

Actually forget next weekend. Went out with a little torch and sure enough the manual release catches were sticky
More so the nearside one
So plenty of wd on it and it is still a little stiff. But if I move it by hand it shuts first time every time. So thank you again for your help it’s so much appreciated 2016 4.4 diesel

No worries. Keep moving the plastic bits till they are fairly free.
