Electronic Handbrake

When I start the car I get a parking brake warning and a yellow triangle for a fraction of a second before it starts.

The warning then disappears. Is this a warning that something is going to fail, is it common for this to happen?

Any thoughts would be useful Christian.

I’ve never had that. Not sure if there is something underneath you can lubricate, though I would have thought you’d got any error when applying it, but I’m no expert on the EPB.

It doesn't come up if the handbrake isn't applied...(?) Christian.

Have you got a GAP IID tool to check any codes?
Mine flashes occasionally and the GAP fault codes continually reports loss of communication with the handbrake ecu but I just assume this is spurious or marginal voltage when left overnight.
Don't get any warning symbol though. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Not seen any fault codes, the previous owner replaced the rear discs but I'm not sure if he adjusted the shoes correctly. Reason for this is that he clearly didn't notice the seized calliper so doubt was all that competent.

I think I'll get the rear wheels off at some point and check the shoes and EPB mech when the weather breaks a bit. Christian.
