The air suspension in my vehicle works*, every time, seamlessly, Im also happy with the way it self levels taking heavy loads or towing. I notice no sagging after the vehicle was left standing for days/a week, I notice no compressor working when it shouldn't.

* Occasionally after changing into Normal, either from Access mode or from Off Road mode, the vehicle will display an error “Only Normal Height Available”.

* Occasionally after changing into Normal, either from Access mode or from Off Road mode, and after engaging the Cruise Control, the Cruise Control will de-activate and will display two errors “ACC Not Available”, and “Only Normal Height Available”.

...these aren't immediate after changing into Normal, it would be anything between 5 to 10 minutes. There is a cure: stopping at the side of the road, switch off, start, and off we go no problems (seemingly) - not ideal.

There are many reasons why this could be happening. Do you have access to an IIDtool, or any other diagnostic tool to get the error code?

As an example, I had a similar issue and it was the reservoir tank that wasn’t filling quickly enough due to it having rusted through and had a leak. I don’t imagine that will be your issue. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Had - 2007 S/C in Stornoway Grey

I’m guessing that if it can’t be sure the car is actually sat level or at the right height, it will disable the cruise as the adaptive radar can’t be guaranteed to be at the right angle to to road…. So it won’t trust it’s readings either.

When this happened one time i opened the 4x4 Info page so see if maybe it would indicate a height issue on one of the wheels, and it displayed the vehicle to be level. It also self levels quite nicely with heavy loads. And so im reluctant to assume a height sensor issue. 2011 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Check out the wires on top of the suspension tops under the bonnet if you have adaptive suspension? they could be reconnecting and the parting and you cannot see it? the wires are very thin and get brittle. There is a part replacement from the main dealer?

The wires for the adaptive suspension has been fiddled with in the past, I dare not take it apart to try do a better job with the tape already used for fear of messing it up even more, especially if I dont experience a problem with it. Im just not quite catching how an EAS activation can trigger an adaptive suspension fault linked to the wires and the error messages I see - care to elaborate pelase? 2011 Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

The trouble will knock out the adaptive cruise as well and something else with the braking it`s like they are all interconnected?

If you have tape on the wires they may have been soldered which will break again I know because I soldered mine before I replaced the wires?

After replacement no more problem

It`s a known fault?
