I'd be very careful taking feeds from any buttons or from the clock as these don't run on standard 12v they all run with in a 12v data bus. So that may be why it's not powering up.

Cheers Dan- I didn't realise that (still in Defender electric mode..) I'll do as you say and look in the boot. Does a wiring diagram exist at all for the 2006 model? Gavin
