Worth knowing, typical though that the D3S is twice the price of the D2S Confused Christian.

depends where you look for the bulbs...i have always got cheap 6000k bulbs of ebay and have never paid more than £20 for the pair..

some think the cheap ones are rubbish but i've had them in my td6,sc,westie and now my l405 and i've never had any problems. ... - .- -.

Nice. Will they be okay through an MOT?

The HIDS are a direct replacement and the main beam is not pattern tested. Christian.

I put in 50w LED 6000k to replace the ds3’s. Came with large heat sinks and two small in line boxes which I tucked into the headlights. They must have rattled around and got in the way of the dynamic light mechanism and I got the flashing amber light on the dash. Looked at the front of the car and the lights were cross eyed! Should have stuck with the ds3 form factor. Anyway took them out and all when back to normal, could have been worse. Current

How do you find these? I was thinking about getting the same, along with the LED fog light bulbs too. Do you have any pictures you could share?

Cheers

You don’t need a high and low beam bulb for the H7… it doesn’t do high and low beam, so I imagine you’d be paying extra for a bit you don’t need….

The H7 LED I fitted was just a single bulb.

Not sure I’d want them in the fogs as you have those on whilst you have oncoming cars, and not sure light pattern would be acceptable. Plus I’m not sure brighter light is what you need in fog…

I know you can get DRL units to replace the fog units, so light pattern there might be Ok for other drivers…

Just my 2p obviously. The standard fogs do look a bit pants compared to the other bulbs though.

A Trap

Those following this note cars 2006-2009 are fitted with D1S type. Worth checking what’s fitted before buying especially as the head lamps are so easy to remove, just a couple of screws holding the grill then 3 screws per headlamp 👍
