@ffrr14 - great shout. I’ll try this first and anything else I see around there. Might not be until the weekend now though 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)

Right. Cleaned a load of connections up (not sure it’s ever been done).

Update: drove to work today (not far) as it started fine. Went to drive home, just got the click. AA says it’s the starter - had a new LR one a couple months ago. This will be the third starter in 16 months so feels like somethings not right.

I thought there were some more joins in the cable between there and the starter?

I think you're right. Something about a joint somewhere between starter and battery, about half way iirc.

Thanks - I’ll let the garage know. It’ll be taken to Glenrands in the morning by the AA. 1995 4.6 v8, green/tan (long gone)

Something is still loose bythe sounds of it. I went ahead and cleaned all the fuses bythe way, These cars are very sensitive to state of charce/drop etc, I also added a second battery and it likes the extra headroom. good luck SOLD | Tuned MY 2011.5 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 TDV8 Orkney Grey | e-diff | ACC New Toy: Unimog U1550L/37 New : G350D |
