replacing BCM

Does anyone know if I can get a used BCM reprogrammed? I believe I have a BCU that is very sick ( problems with intermittent heavy steering, central locking won't work until 15m after engine shutoff, one-touch window down not working etc etc)

I currently have a 06 TDV8 using YWC500521 which I believe is no longer available brand new so used is my only option. I do have a GAP IID tool and I'm fairly ok with a set of spanners.

I've read that some chip needs to be changed, does anyone have the details?

I have been experiencing these symptoms too.

To rectify the intermittent steering, what I have done is to replace the Power Steering Pump (used) twice. Often, I would have to restart the ignition to get the lighter-normal steering back.

As for the central locking, what I have done is to replace the fuse F15 and F60 with new 5As, and so far it has solved the intermittent non-locking behaviour.

As for BCM reprogramming, you would have to go back to a dealer, or an Independent that has the correct laptop + software for that - if I am not mistaken.

Hope you solve your woes soon.
