Well done 2x 50 mile trips today, I started to think it might be the fuel filter having read a thread on these hollowed pages. Then I became convinced it was the damper wiring (2009) loose as it seemed to coincide with braking and steering. Now the error has completely gone, so it could have been a combination of EGR fault and wiring fault. Nice to not have the dash flashing at me. 2009 TDV8 3.6 |

Do you get any black smoke when you floor it by any chance? I had restricted performance come up on mine a few weeks ago but no codes. Turned out it was the left bank plastic intake manifold had a 18 inch crack in it. You can't see it by looking at it, spray with soapy water with engine idling and see if you get bubbles, that's how I found out. Maybe worth a shot. I read on here before i diagnosed mine that it can throw up all sorts of different codes. |

No black smoke at all. Now pulls like a train, hopefully without any errors. I am just getting so paranoid about more problems, I think in December when I get a new MOT I will sell and just lease something boring. 2009 TDV8 3.6 |

So random Restricted Perfomance messages again, spoke too soon. No fault codes, but every time I clear the codes with my iCarsoft reader it says I have an emissions code to clear. Which is there every time I clear it. It would seem the iCarsoft reader is not man enough for the job.
