L322 Deep Clean without flattening the battery?

I part cleaned out our L322 today, thinking as the weather was sunny, I'd give it a good, thorough clean.

We have two large Pyrenean Mountain Dogs, so it does get dirty and to be done properly, ideally needs to completed over two days (today and tomorrow is the plan).

I spent about 3-4 hours on the interior today, with the doors open and radio on. When I came to start the car, it struggled but did start and left the dash with a yellow exclamation mark light on (This went off following a half an hour drive and engine restart).

My question is, other than leaving the engine running, how can I carry out this task without draining the battery.

I'm hoping to finish the job tomorrow, so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Yes, unfortunately it struggles to power the clock when left to it’s own devices 🤣

Turn the interior lights off, and no radio, as Stan says.

I put a music system in my garage to negate that issue….

Or perhaps a second battery installation…..

Not good though is it? Bring back the 2 litre Cortina….. wash with the 8 track on 🤣. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

How did you keep the radio on? Mine turns off after about 3 mins with a battery saver message even though it's fully charged. 2011 Vogue SE TDV8

If you have got a CTEK charger connect it and the battery will be fully charged by the time you have finished your deep clean. Thumbs Up

Thanks to all for taking the time to reply, very much appreciated.

I do have three CTEK's but the connectors are for different vehicle manufacturers, so not sure they're compatible with Land Rover, or where I'd need to connect them on a L322.

I will try turning off the interior lights and leave the radio off tomorrow (amazed that such small things can drain a battery).

Thank you once again to all for taking the time to reply.

Depends what your vehicle specific leads are but pretty easy, either plug into cigarette lighter, crocodile clips on battery, 13 pin towing socket or I hard wire a lead for it to plug directly into.

Press and hold the central light switch in by the mirror for several seconds it knocks off all the interior and boot lights. Press it again and they come back on as normal. I have mine knocked off all summer due to the way FFRR’s can eat batteries. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

Disable interior lights and don’t use radio. Not ideal but only way without connecting a Ctek.
If you have towing electrics (13 pin or twin 7) then simply use a Ctek converter from the shop on here and job done Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"
